The UOB Heartbeat Run/Walk 2024 made a powerful return this year, bringing together more than 3,000 UOB Indonesia employees and their families in a multi-city celebration of community, wellness, and giving back. Held simultaneously in Jakarta, Bandung, Semarang, Surabaya, and Medan, the event was anchored at Senayan Park, Jakarta, where the spirit of unity and compassion was fully on display.

Organized by the dynamic Jakarta-based event agency After8 Sensix, the event was a resounding success, combining energetic activities, seamless coordination, and purposeful design that transformed the day into a memorable experience for all participants. After8 Sensix worked hand-in-hand with UOB to craft a meaningful experience that blended fitness with philanthropy—underscoring the values at the heart of the UOB Heartbeat initiative.

This year, the event was more than just a fun run—it was a meaningful act of social responsibility. Through the collective participation and fundraising efforts, UOB Indonesia successfully raised Rp350 million to support the education of deaf students throughout the country. The funds will be channeled to five selected special schools: Cicendo Special School (SLB), Santi Rama Special School, Semarang State Special School, Bangun Bangsa Special School, and Karya Murni Special School.

In addition to financial support, UOB Indonesia will also provide hearing aids and essential school supplies, directly addressing the needs of hearing-impaired students and enhancing their ability to learn and participate fully in their communities. The initiative reflects UOB’s continued commitment to building a more inclusive society by ensuring that no child is left behind in access to quality education.

he atmosphere at Senayan Park was festive and energizing, with employees donning vibrant shirts, warming up together, and cheering each other on during the run and walk segments. The event also featured music, food stalls, family activities, and donation corners—all thoughtfully curated by After8 Sensix to ensure a holistic, inclusive experience for participants of all ages.

With a strong emphasis on corporate social responsibility, employee engagement, and health awareness, the UOB Heartbeat Run/Walk 2024 once again demonstrated how purposeful collaboration between organizations like UOB and After8 Sensix can drive meaningful impact beyond the corporate world.

As the sun set over Senayan Park, what lingered was not just the sweat or the sound of footsteps—but the heartbeat of a united community, committed to doing good together.
